The Greater Omaha-Council Bluffs Area Council on Youth Leadership has selected four of our high school students for awards and scholarships based on their academic achievements, leadership, and community involvement. We couldn’t be prouder of Alli Benke, Carter Neubert, Camden Patyk, and Allison Reade for their efforts throughout these past few years! We look forward to seeing their continued accomplishments in the years to come.
The purpose of the Greater Omaha-Council Bluffs Area Council on Youth Leadership is to honor high school juniors who have maintained at least a 3.0 grade point average or higher through the end of their sophomore year and have held two or more leadership roles to which they were chosen by their peers or an adult leader within the past two years in school, religious or community sponsored organizations. The council helps young people grow into responsible adults by encouraging, recognizing and developing leadership.
If you are currently a high school junior who fits the above criteria and are interested in applying for the Youth Salute, please reach out to Mrs. Fitzgerald, or visit www.greateromaha.youthsalute.com/apply. Applications are due by December 15, 2024.

Some of our HAL students got the opportunity to go learn more about wildlife creatures and interact with them today on a field trip to Mead.
Wildcat Parents, the Lost and Found in Elementary is overflowing! Please take a look and let your child's teacher know if you see something that belongs to your kiddos or grab it after the Halloween Parade on Thursday! Items will be donated on Friday, Nov 1st.
Come out to Oakland tonight to support the Volleyball team at sub-districts! The Wildcats take on Cornerstone Christian at 5:00pm, and if they win will play a second game at 7:00pm vs Oakland-Craig! Fans attending the game will need to sit on the South Side Bleachers!

Congratulations to the Elementary boys that completed the 5,000 shot club challenge and the High School boys that completed the 10,000 shot club challenge this summer. Way to put in the work for your upcoming basketball seasons.
The High School Choir had a memorable evening singing at Night of Hope hosted by The Bridge at Midland University on 10/24.

This Morning was the Grand Opening of the Wildcat Savers Branch at Cedar Bluffs Elementary.
Every Wednesday, K-5th grade students will have the opportunity to deposit money into a savings account!
Thank You to Mr. Dunker for bringing this program to our school and to the FBLA students volunteering their time on Wednesday mornings to support this great program. Also, thank you to Julie Kucera, Joe Wagner, and the staff at Community State Bank for partnering with us and supporting our students in their financial planning efforts. Finally, thank you to Grant Fitzgerald, the entire school board, and the Cedar Bluffs Public Schools administration team for supporting and allowing this program in our school.
A huge shout-out to Jennifer Davis from the Nebraska Council on Economic Education for organizing the partnership, coming out to celebrate this event, and bringing the money machine!

The Cedar Bluffs High School Track & Field team invites you to spend your Saturday morning on November 16th at 10:30 a.m. with us to participate in our 2nd annual Turkey Trot! Race your friends, the staff, and kids or just spend the morning catching up with everyone while completing a 1-mile fun run/walk campus loop or a 5k run/walk (3.1 miles).
