Wildcat Community we are asking for a little help from you. If you would happen to know of a 3 bedroom 2 bath rental house in the Cedar Bluffs or Fremont area please contact Mr. Hansen at 402-628-2080. We are trying to help a family in need of housing that has been displaced with the recent flooding! Thanks for your support. Go Wildcats!

Cedar Bluffs Public School will be doing a "Pajama day" fundraiser with proceeds going to families who attend CBPS that have been affected by the flood. Those who would like to wear pajamas next Thursday the 28th just need to bring a $5.00 donation, if you would like to donate more that it will be accepted but $5.00 is the minimum. If you are a community member and would like to donate that would be fine as well! Thank you to all of our Wildcat Community in this time of devastation.

Mr. Brousek will place the order for Quiz Bowl shirts at 8:30 on Thursday morning. We should have the shirts here by Monday afternoon. Order forms and payment are due in the office by 8:30 on Thursday morning.

Wildcat community: We have been in contact with the North Bend area and they are currently in need of volunteers! If you are 19 years of age or older and would like to volunteer you can contact Chris at 402-719-5235 for more information. They are currently looking for people to scoop mud, move carpet and debris, and physical work. It is recommended to wear boots and gloves if you are volunteering as well as they are offering until 1:00 today free tetanus shots at the North Bend HS or in Fremont at Three rivers all day today. Scrip order forms will be sent home on Friday with the youngest and only students at our school. Order forms will also be available at local area businesses. Orders and payment are due by 3:45 on Monday and cards will be here by Friday. If you grocery shop at either Bakers, HyVee or Walmart you can now support our students without having to donate any extra money! We also have cards available from Ace Hardware, Home Depot, Lowe's and Menards if you have any spring projects going. Youth Sports will continue with practice and games as scheduled before the flooding starting Thursday. The team snap app has been updated with games and practice schedule for volleyball. Baseball practice will be week by week decisions, please refer to your team snap app.

Dear Cedar Bluffs Families, I would like to thank you for your support and patience during this unusual time. I know a lot of people have had questions about what “closed indefinitely” means. It has been very difficult to estimate a return date to school given the wide spread destruction. Now that the Nebraska Department of Transportation is opening roads, we are planning on having school Thursday March 21, 2019 with bus routes as usual. We are attempting to call all families in the impacted area to assess needs. If you are in an impacted area and you have not received a call by 6pm tonight, please contact the school Wednesday so we can account for all of our families. Our Crisis team will still be meeting Friday to continue to plan for the relief efforts. The link to the private needs request form is on the Schools Facebook page; if you were unable to access the form please call the school directly at 402-628-2080. Over 200 students and nearly half of our teachers and staff are unable to safely get to school at this time. Therefore, Cedar Bluffs Public Schools will be closed indefinitely to allow time for families and staff to make safety their priority. All sports, activities, meetings, and youth sports will also be cancelled. The Crisis team will re-evaluate the situation on Friday, March 22nd and will provide additional information at that time. Our thoughts and prayers are with everyone affected by this terrible natural disaster, especially members of the Wildcat family that reside in Fremont, North Bend, and other surrounding areas. Attention Families: On Tuesday, March 19th at 9:30 we will be having an assembly for 4th-12th grade students. The content will be covering bullying, cyber bullying, and being a courageous leader to influence more positivity among peers. Parents are welcome to attend as well. Please just contact the school ahead of time so we can do our best to plan for enough seating. The following is the summary provided to us by the presenter. Mark & Joni Adler will discuss with students the journey of their son Reid. Reid shared with them that he was having suicidal thoughts just over one month’s time when on January 7, 2016, Reid took his own life changing the lives of many forever. Reid was the victim of intimidation and cyber bullying, a situation his parents knew nothing about until after his passing. Mark & Joni will challenge students to stand up for each other and not allow any type of bullying or inappropriate treatment between students. The final focus will be on using courage and leadership as tools in spreading Hope and Kindness to everyone we encounter, an approach Reid lived and exemplified daily!

ATTENTION: Junior parents that have a child that will be a senior next year, please encourage your child to come see Mr. Greene if they are wanting a "Senior Banner" that will be displayed in the gym for next year as soon as possible!!

Reminder! The Food Bank of Lincoln host a mobile food distribution in Cedar Bluffs once a month at St. Matthew’s Lutheran Church from 2:30pm-3:30pm. The schedule is as follows: February 14th, March 14th, April 11th, May 9th, June 13th, July 11th, August 8th, September 12th, October 10th, November 14th, December 18th Free for ANY person in need, The Food Bank of Lincoln cooperates with member agencies in Southeast Nebraska to sponsor mobile Food distributions at local sites. Each site includes distribution of some USDA product, so participants must sign the standard income self-verification sheet, but no other documentation is required. Participants are encouraged to bring their own bags and carts if possible.
