Dear Cedar Bluffs Public School Family,
By now you’ve probably seen the news about the COVID-19 virus and potential exposure in Fremont, resulting in the closure of Fremont Schools and the University. The health and safety of our students and staff is a priority. Our administration has been in contact with Three River’s Health, the Saunders County Emergency Management Director, the Nebraska Department of Education, the Fremont YMCA, and the Superintendent of Fremont Public Schools. The Cedar Bluffs Crisis Team will continue to monitor this fluid situation and once we have gathered the necessary guidance a coordinated effort will be made to release information regarding schools in the surrounding area including Cedar Bluffs.

Did You Know: Cedar Bluffs has had 55 athletes honored with Academic All-State awards in the last four years? Pretty Outstanding.

Dear Parents and Students,
The district is monitoring the developing information related to the spread of COVID-19 (commonly referred to as the coronavirus). To date, the district is unaware of any native cases of COVID-19 being reported in our state. However, the district has reviewed its relevant policies and procedures and is confident that it is prepared to respond to any outbreak of communicable disease that may occur. Should this situation interfere with the district’s ordinary operations or schedule, you will be provided notice in the customary fashion.
We encourage you to remain informed about the spread of the coronavirus, and would recommend that you visit the website for the Department of Health and Human Services, http://dhhs.ne.gov/Pages/Coronavirus.aspx, for further information as it develops. We would also encourage you to use this opportunity to remind your students of the importance of getting rest and washing hands, especially during cold and flu season.

Hello Families!
Our school is proud to partner with the American Heart Association with Kids Heart Challenge (formerly Jump Rope for Heart). Over the next few weeks, our students will be having fun learning about their hearts with the Heart Heroes while raising money to help fund lifesaving research. In addition to helping the American Heart Association, our school can earn free PE equipment.
Students can earn their own Heart Hero Characters this year by using the new mobile app (download the Kids Heart Challenge app) or visit heart.org/kidsheartchallenge to sign up and raise money online! Just for signing up to save lives, your students will earn a free powerband! Plus, the mobile app brings the Heart Hero keychains and powerband badges to life!
Thank you for helping a great cause!
